You Have Permission

So often people stop themselves from enjoying life and the things that make them happy. Sometimes a bit of permission could make ALL the difference.

Wait for it…you have permission to play, meditate on spiritual matters, eat something decadent, take a trip, study something you enjoy, go to the movies, write, eat at your favorite restaurant, say no to something you don’t want to do, go on a date, to on a bike ride, spend time with God, color, draw, create music or do anything else you would like to do that makes you happy.

Singing Again

I look and behold
the things of old that
were allotted for me
before the time I could see.

I walk in the rhythm of my
God’s heart beat,
writing about Him as
I start my new song.

Making A Decision, Oh My!

Making decisions can be difficult at times. For some making small decisions can be easier than dealing with making the larger ones and for others it’s visa versa. So what does one do?

Well, you could decide not to make a decision on the larger things or the smaller things but remember there will be a consequence no matter what. Your participation in the decision making process will be directly linked to the consequence of making that decision or leaving it unmade.

One way or the other at some point you have to decide about something. The good news is that you can make a decision. Even though you have made mistakes in the past regarding decisions, you can learn from that process and make a better decision today.

Here are some pointers on how to make the best decision for yourself. Go to God in prayer asking for the Holy Spirit to lead you in the right direction. Locate Scripture that speak to the situation you are dealing with. Weigh the pros and cons. Reflect on what the evidence has told you about the situation. Seek counsel from a trusted informed source. Don’t make a decision out of your emotional place. Decide.

I hope this little conversation was helpful to you.
