Today’s Meditation

I THEREFORE, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God’s service, Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another. Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit in the binding power of peace.

Ephesians 4:1‭-‬3 (AMPC)

Today’s Meditation

Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. [Exod. 33:12; Isa. 49:1, 5; Rom. 8:29.]

Jeremiah 1:5 (AMP)

Reflection: Wow! God knew me before I (you were) was formed in my (your) mother’s womb. None of God’s creation was made by accident. God knew what He was doing when He put the heart you have inside you. God thought of you and created you setting you apart from the ways of the world. You have already all that you need to accomplish the will of God. Don’t be afraid to use it, to show His love and to be an instrument of that love.

Did Someone Tell Fear and Worry to Come Visit?

You ever have one of those days when nothing is really wrong but you feel on edge like it’s just about time to worry or walk into that door labeled fear again. You don’t want it to be like times before when you just went on autopilot and your day that could have been easy, relaxed and full of hope or joy turned into despair.

The Bible tells us,

“For God did not give us a spirit.       of timidity or cowardice or fear,       but [He has given us a spirit] of.           power and of love and of sound.           judgment and personal.                         discipline [abilities that result.             in a calm, well-balanced mind.            and self- control].”

              2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

As a Christian we are taught that God did not give us a spirit of fear. If I have prayed and trust God then why am I going to put energy into worrying or making fear my home address.

It’s a choice which road we take. It’s a choice how we deal with our feelings. It’s a choice if we want to choose the Lord today or not. It’s at these moments where I pick up my spiritual journal or quietly reflect on what the Word says about who I am in Christ and what I can do. It’s at these times when I don’t let my feelings or desires lead me. When worry or fear want to mess up my hour or even my day I say, “NO”. I rest in the finish work of Christ and know my Father’s grace is sufficient.

Peace & Blessings,
