”In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of His grace”
EPHESIANS 1:7 (AMP)
Today, I invite you to reflect on how good God is in giving us so much through His grace and mercy. Praise God!!!
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)
”All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]”.
JOHN 6:37 (AMP)
[ The Narrow and Wide Gates ] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14 (AMP)
It’s easy to call oneself a Christian but it’s not easy at times to live ones life as a Christian. Don’t get me wrong, with the grace of God and His love one can live as a Christian with all the strength, wisdom and mercy that believing in the Lord brings.
It’s only when our human nature factors in that we encounter difficulties in living a Christian life. In our humanness, we engage fear, doubt, insecurities and the like. Our proclivity to forget who we are in Christ rears it’s ugly head and we sink into a feeling of being disconnected from the Holy.
Sometimes we choose the wrong people to hang out with, the wrong places to go, the wrong thoughts to think and the wrong things to do that lead us into unhealthy dysfunctional living. Hence, living our Christian life then becomes more difficult with added on problems we have had a hand in creating.
The good news is when we choose the narrow gate, however unpopular it might seem to others, we choose Christ. We choose to love. We choose freedom. We choose a life of abundance, grace, peace and a life being led by the Holy Spirit.
It’s a no brainer which gate I chose and will continue to choose daily, the narrow gate. What about you? What gate have you chosen or will choose?
